The story of Justin Boots dates back to 1879, when H.J. Justin made the move to Spanish Fort, Texas to pursue a career as a boot repairman. Quickly grasping the art of boot making, H.J. established his own boot company, Justin Boots, which initially operated out of his home catering to cowboys passing through town. In 1908, the company transitioned into a family enterprise when H.J.'s sons, Earl and Avis, joined the business. Through their collective efforts, Justin Boots experienced rapid growth -- within two years, production had doubled, and the boots were distributed across 26 states, Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Following H.J.'s passing in 1918, his sons relocated the company headquarters to Fort Worth, where it remains headquartered to this day.
