The history of Justin Boots dates back to 1879 when H.J. Justin relocated to Spanish Fort, Texas to pursue a career as a boot repairman. Gifted with a natural flair for boot making, H.J. Justin wasted no time in establishing his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated from his residence to cater to passing cowboys. Recognizing the potential for expansion, H.J. Justin seized the opportunity to relocate his family to Nocona, Texas, following the construction of a railroad ten years later in order to access a larger market.

In 1908, the Justin Boots brand evolved into a family business when his sons, Earl and Avis, joined forces with their father. Through their collective efforts, the company flourished rapidly, doubling its production within just two years and expanding its market to include 26 states, as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Following the passing of their father in 1918, Earl and Avis relocated the company headquarters to Fort Worth in 1925, where it remains operational to this day.
