The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to pursue a career as a boot repairman. With a natural talent for boot making, he established his own boot company, Justin Boots, operating out of his home to cater to cowboys passing through town. Recognizing the potential of his business, H.J. seized the opportunity to expand when a railway was constructed in Nocona, Texas a decade later. In 1908, the company became a true family endeavor as his sons, Earl and Avis, joined the business.

The dedication and hard work of the Justin family propelled the company's growth, resulting in a significant increase in production within just a few years. By 1910, Justin Boots were being sold not only in 26 states across the U.S. but also in Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Following the passing of H.J. in 1918, his sons relocated the company headquarters to Fort Worth, where it remains to this day.
